Spend an afternoon wandering in the cobbled streets of Berat, with its Ottoman homes earning it the name “The city of thousand windows”. Venture down to Gjirokastra where a massive oval fortress guards over the steep, narrow streets and stone – roofed houses. Explore the 8th century BC city of Butrint and head back to Tirana through the southern coastland drive.

Day 1: Sightseeing tour of Berat via Durres

We travel to Berat, stopping for a short walking tour and coffee break in Durres.

  • Transfer to Berat where, after getting settled in a picturesque hotel, we head for lunch in a traditional, local restaurant.
  • In the afternoon set off on a guided tour, of the Upper town with its churches, masques and 27 watchtowers, all packed inside its walls.

Day 2: Sightseeing tour of Gjirokastra

Today we’ll travel south to Gjirokaster.

  • Get settled in the stone built hotel and after we enjoy a nice, typical meal in a cosy, local restaurant   ( Delicious vegetarian dishes ).
  • Experience the city’s Unesco – recognized historic district on a guided tour of an Ottoman tower house, the War Museum and The Cathedral.
  • Enjoy free time to continue explore the Old Bazaar Quarter on you own.



Day 3: Sightseeing tour of Butrint & the Blue Eye spring

  • Included meals: Breakfast ,Lunch, Dinner

Transfer to the Blue Eye and marvel at the spring’s shades of blue and nature around it.

  • Drive to Butrint and set off on a guided tour with a local guide. Marvel at 2500 year of history embedded in the Amphitheater, the Castle, the Churches and the Lion Gate.
  • Enjoy seafood next to turquoise waters in the city Saranda.
  • You’ll have the afternoon free to explore this seaside pearl of the south.
  • On our way to Tirana, we stop for dinner in Llogara National Park. ( sheep’s milk yogurt with honey and walnuts is a must here )
