Day 1: Sightseeing tour of Berat via Durres

We travel to Berat, stopping for a short walking tour and coffee break in Durres.

  • Transfer to Berat where we get settled in a picturesque hotel. You will have free time to rest before setting off on a guided tour in the afternoon. The Upper town with its churches, masques and 27 watchtowers, all packed inside its walls, people still living inside Ottoman houses at they have done for centuries will make for an extremely interesting visit.
  • Your Tour Director will guide you through the best restaurants and typical traditional dishes of Berat.  

 

Gjirokaster  1 night

 

Day 2: Sightseeing tour of Gjirokastra

Today we’ll travel south to Gjirokaster.

  • Get settled in the stone built hotel and after we enjoy free time walking around the “Neck” of the Bazaar.
  • Experience the city’s Unesco – recognized historic district on a guided tour of an Ottoman tower house, the War Museum and The Cathedral in the afternoon
  • Enjoy free time to continue explore the Old Bazaar Quarter on you own.
    • Your Tour Director will guide you through the best restaurants and typical traditional dishes of Berat.  

     

Day 3: Sightseeing tour of Butrint & the Blue Eye spring

  • Included meals: Breakfast , Dinner

Transfer to the Blue Eye and marvel at the spring’s shades of blue and nature around it.

  • Drive to Butrint and set off on a guided tour with a local guide. Marvel at 2500 year of history embedded in the Amphitheater, the Castle, the Churches and the Lion Gate.
  • Enjoy seafood next to turquoise waters in the city Saranda.
  • You’ll have the afternoon free to explore this seaside pearl of the south.
  • On our way to Tirana, we stop for dinner in Llogara National Park. ( sheep’s milk yogurt with honey and walnuts is a must here )
